At 471 hectares, Gesha Village is one of the largest coffee estates Passenger works with. Amazingly it also happens to produce some of the finest coffees we purchase each year. This Gesha 1931 variety lot is one of two dry process coffees we’ve selected from the 2024 harvest, and provides yet another beautiful example of what this legendary estate has achieved through a highly intentional focus on extraordinary plant genetics and meticulous processing methods.

Located in Ethiopia’s Bench Maji zone, near the Gori Gesha Forest where the famed Gesha variety was first documented, the estate produces some of the most distinctive coffees we source each year.
What makes Gesha Village exceptional is its dedication to precision and innovation. From careful variety selection to meticulous processing, every step is designed to highlight the unique qualities of the coffees grown there. Founders Adam Overton and Rachel Samuel set out to bridge Ethiopia’s deep coffee heritage with the evolving landscape of specialty coffee, and their work continues to redefine what’s possible.
Each season, we look forward to seeing what Gesha Village will produce, knowing that its coffees consistently stand among the finest in the world.
