Traditionally, Japanese green teas are processed by steaming the leaves. However, kamairicha is pan-fired, similar to the processing styles of Chinese green teas. This very limited lot underwent a controlled withering process before pan firing allowing for the development of unique aromas and flavor compounds. Produced by the brilliant Yoshiaki Hiruma, this tea is truly special.
