Kambarare

Last year marked our first time purchasing coffee from Gerald Njagi, a third generation coffee producer and manager of Kambarare Estate in Kirinyaga County in Kenya. Through continued collaboration with the Mbature family and their export operations at Kamavindi Coffee Lab, we are delighted to be able to feature another outstanding washed SL variety lot from the most recent harvest at Kambarare. Again this year, the quality of Gerald's single variety SL separations stood out on the cupping table for their refined flavor complexity, and notable depth of sweetness. This particular lot of SL varieties has flavors of jammy blackcurrant and orange peel, as well as a deep brown sugar sweetness that finishes slightly tropical as it cools.
