Fausto Romo Sidra

Fausto Romo has been producing coffee on his farm, La Carolina, in the renowned growing region of Pichincha, Ecuador, for over twenty years.

Originally a dairy farmer, he was inspired by an uncle to shift his attention to cultivating unique coffee varieties, including sidra, which was being grown at a nearby experimental plot run by Nestlé before Fausto adopted it to be a main fixture of his farm. Since then, his skill as a coffee producer has earned him well-deserved recognition and accolades, including 14th place in the 2023 Cup of Excellence. We’re excited to feature his coffees on Passenger’s menu for the first time and look forward to future harvests to come.
